Date of Foundation 12th January 1802.

Centenary Jewel authorized 3rd August 1932

Both documents having been destroyed by enemy action, a Warrant of Confirmation was granted on 3rd September 1941, and confirmation of authority to wear a centenary jewel or medal was granted on 7th June 1950. This document has a note in the top right hand corner- Owing to the death of the Most Worshipful the Grand Master (His Grace the Duke of Devonshire, K.G.) on the 26th November, 1950, this Centenary Warrant of Confirmation is issued without bearing his signature’.
